I don't run a factory, and I don't sell a product list. 01The Pivot

Why I left programming

I spent 13 years as a full-stack developer, e-commerce, consulting, supply chain systems, with stints on Taobao, AliExpress and Amazon. In this industry, 35 is the wall; the older you get, the less they value you. After thirteen years I didn't want to wait until I was the one being filtered out. I wanted a trade where experience compounds instead of depreciating.

Chinese manufacturing is hyper-competitive domestically, while Belt & Road countries are starved for products, talent and technical know-how. Clients there have projects but no reliable way to find suppliers in China. Trade was the natural fit, it uses everything I built over 13 years, and the longer you do it, the more it's worth.

So instead of picking a few products to push, I built the architecture first. Five industries. Power, Agriculture, Industrial, Municipal, Mining, each broken into concrete scenarios with defined standards and materials. A client describes the working conditions, and I can tell them which standard to buy to. Same habit as coding: define the data structures before writing the business logic.

I don't manufacture anything. But I've deeply partnered with thirteen factories across Hebei, Ningbo, Shenzhen and Wenzhou, and visited a hundred more along the way. My role has three parts: technical selection, on-site QC, and three-way quote benchmarking. Factories change. Standards don't. Prices fluctuate. The selection logic stays the same. One thing I tell every client: torque has to hit spec, and it has to be even. Tight isn't the same as uniform.

02What I actually do

I don't run a factory. I manage them for you.

Select first, quote second

Factories quote from drawings. I start with conditions, where will it be used, what environment, what load, how long it has to last. A rooftop solar installer once came to me with a recurring leak problem. Turned out it wasn't installation, the EPDM washers were UV-degrading after a few years, and the coastal project was specced with ordinary galvanizing that rusted within a year. You can't see that from a drawing. Once the conditions are clear, the material grade and standard almost pick themselves.

Three quotes minimum, always

I've vetted over a hundred factories and built deep partnerships with thirteen. Same bolt spec, the Hebei factory has lower material cost, Ningbo has steadier heat treatment, Shenzhen has faster lead times. I benchmark at least three every time. Not to lowball, to find the right capacity fit for your batch size and timeline.

QC on the factory floor, not a photo before shipping

Quality isn't checking dimensions at the end. The real risks are heat treatment temperatures, galvanizing thickness, hydrogen embrittlement. These can only be caught during production. I send engineers to stand on the factory floor at critical steps. Problems get fixed on the spot, not discovered when your shipment arrives.

03The Name

Yaxiio: named after Yaxi, my hometown

Yaxi is where I grew up. In ancient times it was the trading hub of three townships, goods converged there from every direction, then flowed onward. A river route and a few post roads carried the region's business.

When I named the company, I thought of my hometown. I want Yaxiio to be the same kind of hub for hardware: fasteners and everything derived from them, gathered from thirteen factories, dimension-checked, material-verified, corrosion-tested, then shipped to job sites around the world. Instead of hunting factories one by one, buyers come to one place. Yaxiio is that place.

04Standards

Focused, not bounded

My framework is built on infrastructure, but if your needs fall outside that, tell me the specs and conditions. I'll use the same methodology to match you with the right factory. The architecture is category-agnostic.

Standards first, factories later

GB/T, ISO, ASTM, DIN, there are many standards; which one fits depends on your conditions. Lock in the standard first, then find factories that can meet it.

Data over promises

Material certificates, salt spray reports, hardness tests, every batch ships with data. Not "trust me, quality is fine." Here's the report.

Experience that compounds

In programming, experience depreciates. In global supply chain, your knowledge of industries, standards, and factories deepens every year. Clients trust you more over time. This is a compounding career.

Incoming Material QC

Verify mill certificates when raw material arrives. On-site spectrometer check for composition. If the material is wrong, nothing downstream matters.

Heat & Surface Treatment QC

Monitor heat treatment temperature curves and coating thickness. A few degrees off, a few microns thin, the fastener could fail or rust in service.

Final Inspection QC

Full inspection per AQL sampling standards, dimensions, hardness, thread fit, surface defects. Entire batch rejected if the sample fails.

Packaging & Shipping QC

Anti-rust packaging for sea freight, pallet load capacity, shipping mark accuracy. Product was made right, if packaging fails, it arrives rusted. All that work, wasted.

Steps marked "QC" mean someone is physically on the factory floor. Not reviewing reports remotely, standing in the workshop watching the process. This is what separates us from most trading companies. They care if the order is signed. I care if the product is done right.
