③ Machining features (0 rows)
No feature rows entered yet — you can load a sample part template straight away, or add rows group by group (target: a valve-body-class part entered in ≤ 15 minutes).
④ Process and post-processing
Machine route (tick the machines → rate combination)
Rate combination: Three-axis machining centre ¥80/h + Drill-tap machining centre ¥50/h → the highest is taken, ¥80/h (with several machines ticked the highest rate wins, as the dominant machine; clamping and setup both use that rate)
Grinding rows are already priced at the row-level surface grinder rate (¥60/h), so there is no need to tick Surface grinder in the route for grinding — ticking it only raises the top tier in the route summary (which moves clamping, setup and other items priced at the route summary rate).
Heat treatment type (batch-level pricing · charged once at order level)
Pricing = max(batch × priced weight per piece × list price, minimum furnace charge), counted in **as an order-level cost once** and apportioned over the batch (it does not fall to zero on a repeat order, since every batch needs a furnace run); the priced weight per piece is the blank weight / casting net weight / as-delivered forging blank weight; the list price and the minimum furnace charge are adjusted in the ⑤ Price assumptions · heat treatment list price group (estimated 2026-10, to be calibrated against real orders).
Post-processing (method + pricing basis + priced quantity)
The post-processing unit price is adjusted in the ⑤ Price assumptions · post-processing unit price group; the priced quantity follows the pricing basis and is taken as the blank weight / batch piece count / entered surface area (currently 0.001 ¥/kg). With several items ticked, **each item separately** is charged as the greater of the priced quantity × its own unit price and its own minimum charge, and the results are added up (treated as separate subcontracted jobs, each with its own minimum charge).
⑤ Price assumptions (defaults · adjust as needed)
Defaults on a typical factory basisThe defaults follow a typical factory basis (collapsed by default on the main site); open the group you need to adjust it to your own factory, and every change shows up straight away in the price bar at the bottom and in the ⑥ step details.
Machine rate (¥/h)
Applies only to the machined-from-solid route in the ⑥ route comparison: removal volume in cm³ × this rate = rough milling time (the material difficulty factor is applied and the precision factor is not, and the rate is taken as a three-axis rate); estimated · not yet calibrated, default 0.8.
Formula: machine purchase price ÷ running hours to recover + operator wage per hour (the basis is the machine occupancy cost per hour; the wage is counted per paid hour and is **not divided by the utilisation rate**). The default running hours of 5000 are about 5 years × 2000 h/year × 50% utilisation, so the utilisation assumption is already inside them. **Not included**: maintenance / electricity / building / financing / residual value — this derived figure is not a complete machine rate.
Material unit price (¥/kg)
Casting purchase price (¥/kg · for the casting basis only, by grade)
The default casting price is an estimate from common industry knowledge of small-batch purchase prices (estimated, to be calibrated against real orders); the casting material cost is the casting net weight × the unit price in this table, with no further purchasing loss factor applied.
Forging delivered price (¥/kg · for the forging blank basis only, an as-delivered price that includes forging loss)
The default forging price is an estimate from common industry knowledge of small-batch forging delivered prices (estimated, to be calibrated against real orders); the forging material cost is the as-delivered forging blank weight × the unit price in this table, with no further purchasing loss factor applied; custom forging is a proxy entry (type the ¥/kg for a stainless steel or aluminium forging by hand, with density and difficulty proxied by 45#).
Material difficulty factor (45# = 1.0 reference)
Tool consumption rate (¥/min · by material family)
Tool cost = total cutting time × the consumption rate for the family (pure tool wear amortisation, estimated 2026-10, to be calibrated against real orders; it excludes tool holders and the labour of changing tools, and tool-change time sits in the allowance-time basis); wear-prone tools such as taps are not listed separately and are roughly folded into the family rate (to be calibrated against the ledger). The ¥5/min ceiling is there for hand-written overrides on extreme single-edge materials such as PCBN.
Wire EDM unit price (¥/mm² · start hole · estimated)
Applies only to the **wire EDM rows** (amount-type rows) in ③ Machining features: amount = max(thickness, 20mm) × accumulated priced cutting length × unit price + number of start holes × start hole fee, with the hard-material factor applied on top for the titanium family. The fast wire figure of ¥0.008/mm² comes from survey area-price figures (0.005–0.01) and sits above the middle of that range — converted to a time basis at 1200mm²/h × ¥5/h it works out at about ¥0.0042/mm², nearly 2× apart, so **pick one of the two supplier bases** and adjust it to your own supplier; the slow wire four-pass tiers are an **independent empirical price table that has not been cross-checked against a ¥60/h basis**; Reference area rates from desk research (including consumables and depreciation); whether programming, clamping, transport and tax are charged on top is still to be confirmed with the local supplier; every band is estimated as of 2026-10 and awaits calibration against real orders.
Machining time and losses
setup cost = programming and proving time × the rate + fixture cost; when repeat order (programme reused) is switched on, both go to zero together.
Post-processing unit price (¥/kg + minimum charge)
The unit follows the post-processing pricing basis set in ④: per kg = ¥/kg (default) · per piece = ¥/piece · per area = ¥/dm², and the priced quantity is the blank weight, the batch piece count or the surface area entered by the estimator respectively.
Heat treatment list price (¥/kg · minimum furnace charge · estimated, to be calibrated against real orders)
Heat treatment cost = max(batch × priced weight per piece × list price, minimum furnace charge), counted once at order level (it does not go to zero on a repeat order); the priced weight per piece follows the blank form: blank weight, casting net weight or as-delivered forging blank weight. The list price is taken as the midpoint of the association guidance range (a proxy for fast budgeting, not a supplier quotation); when you request a quotation, confirm the material grade, the target hardness or case depth, distortion straightening and report fees at the same time; the minimum furnace charge defaults to ¥0, which means purely batch weight × list price (this supplier basis has to be calibrated by hand).
Order-level costs and minimum charges
The first-article inspection fee is a standalone order-level amount row (¥/batch, counted once and spread over the batch); it defaults to ¥0 and is entered by hand to the customer's inspection requirement; it is unrelated to a repeat order (the programme can be reused, and whether inspection is charged again depends on the order); note that it may already sit inside the order-level costs, so avoid counting it twice.
Margin (not yet calibrated) and band
Standard tier (no rush): multiplier 1.00, no surcharge (Standard)
What it applies to: the suggested end-customer price (pre-tax), its tax-inclusive quote (the tax base being the rush-adjusted pre-tax price) and the upper and lower limits of the end-customer band; the **floor is not multiplied** (it protects the cost), the cost side and the ⑥ route comparison are unaffected, and the quote column of the batch–unit price table is recalculated to this tier as well.
Tax (VAT)
Tax applies to the quotation layer only: the cost layer, the band and the floor always stay on a pre-tax basis; when the switch is off (tax-exclusive, the default) the tax row records 0 and the tax-inclusive quote equals the pre-tax quote.

Batch–unit price table (six tiers · quote column = Standard tier)
Every quantity on the fixed grid of 1 / 5 / 10 / 50 / 100 / 500 pcs is costed on its own (all other inputs and assumptions as set now); the drop against 1 piece is measured from the unit cost at 1 piece. The quote column is recalculated tier by tier at the **current rush tier** (Standard) and shares its source with the suggested quotes above; the cost column and the drop are unaffected by rush.
Key information is missing, so only the cost side can be used for reference; an end-customer quote needs the material and the precision filled in
| Batch | Unit cost (¥) | End-customer quote (¥ · Standard) | Drop vs 1 pc |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 pcs ← Current | ¥613.34 | — | — |
| 5 pcs | ¥165.34 | — | 73% |

| 100 pcs | ¥58.94 | — | 90.4% |
| 500 pcs | ¥54.46 | — | 91.1% |
The drop comes from setup, fixture, mould and order-level costs being spread over the batch (estimated · not yet calibrated)
