For steel fabricators
High-Strength Connection Assemblies for Steel Fabricators
For steel fabricators, tower shops and crane or special-vehicle builders: bolt, nut and washer quoted as one matched set, with the documents your downstream asks for.
Buy against the standard your project names
Tell us the standard you buy against — GB/T 1231, ASTM A325 or A490, or the one your project names — and we match the set and the documents line by line to it.
For steelwork the set matters more than the part. A bolt, a nut and a washer drawn from different lots will torque and fail apart. We quote high-strength assemblies as one matched set, same production lot, confirmed with the plant before quoting; if a size cannot be matched in the same lot, we say so on the technical reply.
| Standard | What buyers order against it |
|---|---|
| GB/T 1231 | heavy hex head sets, 8.8S / 10.9SThe callout on Chinese structural steelwork — order the heavy hex set against it. |
| ASTM A325 / A490 | the US designations buyers commonly buy against for structural steelwork (consolidated under ASTM F3125)The callout on US structural steelwork — order the heavy hex set against it. |
| GB/T 3632 | twist-off (torque-shear) setsThe callout for twist-off sets — order the set that shears at the installed torque. |
What travels with the lot
Mill certificate to EN 10204 3.1
issued by the plant, one per lot, heat numbers on it
Torque coefficient test report
one figure for the whole set, tested to the method of the standard named on the order
Dimensional inspection report
against the standard named on the order
Packing list with heat numbers
traceability travels with the goods
These four travel with every lot as standard; anything beyond the standard set is agreed per order and written on the PO.
How one ton is made up
One ton is the entry point, and sizes can be combined inside that one ton — you do not need a ton per size. For a matched set the ton is counted across bolt, nut and washer together, since they travel as one set. The order moves as one document set.
Questions buyers ask
What is the minimum order?
One ton, and sizes can be combined inside that one ton — you don't need a ton per size. For high-strength sets the ton is counted across bolt, nut and washer together, since they travel as one set.
What documents come with the lot?
Four documents travel with every lot as standard: the mill certificate to EN 10204 3.1 issued by the plant, a torque coefficient test report for the set, a dimensional inspection report, and a packing list with heat numbers. Anything beyond the standard set is agreed per order and written on the PO.
How long does it take?
Lead time depends on the sizes and the set, so we give it with the technical reply rather than as a blanket number: you get the weeks in writing together with the standard and the document list, the same working day you send the list.
Can we get samples?
Samples we can arrange. Tell us the size, grade and standard, and where it should go — we'll come back with what is possible and the lead time. For a first sample the point is usually the set: bolt, nut and washer together, so the torque behaviour is real.

Send the list — sizes, grades, standards
Paste it into the requirements box on the form; company and email are all we need to start. You get a technical reply the same day: the standard to buy against, the documents with the lot, whether one ton can be made up, and the weeks it takes. Price is step two.
