Basis of Calculation

Carbon steel (density 7.85 g/cm³), GB/T 5782 partially threaded, coarse pitch, base-metal weight (coating excluded). Typical deviation within ±5% for standard parts; stainless 304/316 scale by density 7.93/7.98 (≈ +1.0%/+1.7%). Use measured values for trade settlement.

Matching Nut & Washer Weights

Hex nut (ISO 4032 / GB/T 6170) M1214.4 g per piece
Flat washer (ISO 7089 / GB/T 97.1) M126.27 g per piece

All nut sizes M6–M36

FAQ

What nut fits an M12 bolt, and how much does it weigh?

A matching M12 hex nut (ISO 4032 / GB/T 6170) at about 14.4 g per piece; a flat washer (ISO 7089 / GB/T 97.1) runs about 6.27 g per piece.

How much heavier is an M12 bolt in 304/316 stainless, and how much does coating add?

Geometry is unchanged — only the density ratio applies: about ×1.010 for 304 and ×1.017 for 316. Coating is extra: hot-dip galvanizing typically adds 3–6%, electro zinc under 1%; chart weights are base metal without coating.
